Program Learning Outcomes

Upon the completion of this microcredential, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of substantive and procedural law, identify different types of crimes, and their corresponding legal defenses, and apply their understanding of constitutional amendments to criminal procedure.
  • Differentiate between the functions of the three components of the criminal justice system (police, 法院, corrections); identify and assess the constitutional principles relevant to the administration of justice; develop critical thinking skills to evaluate and assess issues of culture, 多样性, equity and inclusion as it applies to the criminal justice system.
